Lenten and Easter - Bible Study
The Lenten and Easter Bible study is a six lesson study. We recommend that you begin on Ash Wednesday and conclude on Wednesday of Easter week. The focus of the study will be the Gospel of Matthew chapters 21-28, but we will also study related and relevant passages in the other three Gospels.
The purpose of the forty-day Lenten journey is to spiritually prepare for the celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday. During this period, we should strive to cleanse ourselves body and soul through prayer, fasting, almsgiving and repentance of sins for a more fruitful reception of the graces merited by Christ for us in His Passion and death (see the article on Lent). All references for this study are found in the study Bibliography
